Internet Governance Forum
The National Authority for Electronic Certification and Cyber Security participated in the first founding meeting of the "Internet Governance Forum in Albania", organized by the association of the same name.
Internet Governance Forum - The Internet Governance Forum is a civil society initiative adopted by the United Nations and overseen by an UN-IGF Secretariat. The initiative aims to co-operate with all actors, both public and private, for the establishment of regulatory standards in this area. At this first meeting, held at the premises of the COD Center, the Prime Minister was attended by representatives from the Electronic and Postal Communications Authority, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, the National Authority for Electronic Certification and Cyber Security, the UN Secretariat for Internet Governance, from the academic world, civil society, various ICT companies and interest groups, media, etc.
There were two themes where the meeting was focused: the internet governance seen in the optics of the perspective of field development in our country, as well as the cyber security challenges. The National Authority for Electronic Certification and Cyber Security was represented in this forum by Mr. Rexhion Qafa, who presented the activities of the Authority and the objectives of the future with a safer Internet climate focus.
